GENERAL: Truck Mounted, KLR Make, DR 2000 Model, Kelly drive DIRECT ROTARY type Drilling Rig, Designed to handle Mud Rotary Drilling applications. This Rig is capable of Drilling in Unconsolidated / alluvial formations using air / mud Rotary method. The drilling capacity is upto a depth of 600 Mt. (2000 Feet) under favorable Drilling Conditions. The following are the detailed specifications.

The Mast shall be usually provided with 5 No. sheaves on roller bearings (2 No. for hoisting – can be increased as per requirement, 1 No. for sand reel, 1 No. for Cat line & 1 No. Spare). The Mast shall be capable of handling 6.0 Mt. casing pipes. Including 20 Ft. drill rods as well as capable of handling 28 Ft. long Kelly. Mast length (above ground clearance) 13.0 Mt 42.65 Ft Max. DRILL HEAD:
The Drill shall be twin cylinder of sturdy steel construction complete with spiral cut heat treated gears and pinions provided with Mud and dirt seals fully immersed in oil bath type Gearbox for long life and noiseless operation. The drill head shall be hydraulically retractable having 530 mm retraction and suitable for handling upto 4 1/8” (104.8mm) x 28 Ft. long three fluted or four fluted round Kelly. DRAW WORKS:

The Draw Works shall be built up strong rugged sturdy steel construction and shall be provided with a heavy duty hoisting drum and sand reel drum driven by heavy duty chain through heavy multi disc air actuated clutches with double break system. The drum shall be mounted on anti friction bearings. Both the drum shall be enclosed with metal sheet guards and clutch and break controls are located at Driller’s point. The specifications of hoist drum and sand reel drum are as follows:

The Cat Head shall be shaft mounted and shall be provided with Draw Works on the right side of the Draw jacks suitable to take 25mm manila rope. The Cat Head shall be complete with Cat line roller, tong line and counter weight assemblies.

The Rig shall be provided with a Heavy duty 7 1/2 ” x 10” Mud Pump of High pressure, double acting, duplex, Reciprocating slush pump. Drive by chain, sprocket or V-belt, pulley.

The Pump shall be single cast rugged construction with easy accessibility for change of liners, fluid pistons, valves etc. The Mud Pump shall be provided with pressure gauge, relief valve, safety valve, replaceable liners, valves, valve seats, pistons, independent clutch arrangement and suction hose.

It shall be of a suitable Gear type hydraulic pump of capacity 80 LPM. Control valve for raising & lowering of Mast, retracting of Drill Head, Pull down Operation etc. including all fittings complete for drilling operation with necessary oil tank, filters, piping valves, pressure gauges etc. A clutch system shall be provided to engage and disengage hydraulic pump as and when required. The Pump shall be of adequate capacity to actuate all the hydraulic mechanisms provided on the Drill Rig.

Heavy Duty transmission Gearbox having 5 forward & 1 reverse speed for Drill Head and Draw Works shall be provided on the Drill Rig. The complete transmission from the power unit to Mud Pump, Draw Works and Drill Head shall be quite rugged to with stand the maximum power transmission required. It shall be mounted with sub drive case having single plate automatic clutch assembly. The Gearbox shall be designed to with stand sudden loads.

The system shall be powered by a separate on board diesel driven deck engine with suitable PTO arrangement. Capacity – 260 HP @ 2200 RPM / CUMMINS MAKE .

All controls of Hydraulic system, clutch, brake etc. shall be located at the left hand rear side of the Rig for easy accessibility and convenient operation to the Driller.

The Drill Rig is equipped with hydraulic breakout wrench for tightening and loosening of drill pipes, the hammer will be located at the rear right side of the Drill Rig.

System consists of four Hydraulic Leveling Jacks (Stabilizers) with ‘Reverse flow restricted valves’ to ensure safe operation. Two jacks are mounted at rear of the Rig and controlled by two separate valves. And Two jacks mounted at the front portion of the Drill Rig and controlled by a single valve.

Machine shall be provided with sub drive case having single plate and automotive clutch assembly.

The Drill Rig shall be capable of handling 4 1/8”(104.8mm) OD x 28 Ft. long three / four flatted single piece alloy steel Kelly with Kelly Drive bushing with appropriate API threads at both ends. Kelly saver shall be provided with the Kelly to protect the threads.

50.8mm (2”) Heavy-duty bail type water swivel, sub water swivel Kelly & Kelly drive bushing shall be provided.

Friction type air actuated clutches will be provided on Mud Pump, Hoisting drum and sand reel for efficient fingertip control.

2Nos 100mm I.D x 762mm(30”) stroke hydraulically actuated hydraulic cylinders shall be provided with rotary drive which can give 7060 kgs(15,000lbs) pull down force on the bit with the help of hexagonal spindle and mechanical chuck this system is integral part of drill head.

Two sets of Parts Catalogue and Service manual and price list of spare parts shall be provided at the time of Drill Rig delivery.

Best Quality / Make bare shaft welding generating set of 400 Amps @ 60% duty cycle shall be driven through a Hydraulic motor.
